However, GoDaddy doesn't allow you to have as much control over your website development; instead charging a $1.00/month fee for using its design functions on top of their monthly fee for web hosting. .

The benefits of choosing GoDaddy is that their basic package starts at $4.24 a month and larger packages usually cost $8.49 a month. They have very nice reseller packages that start at $5.09 per month for 100 addresses and end up at $12.74 a month for 1000 domains. Even though they offer an economy package that starts at $2.99 a month, not much more expensive than JustHost's basic package, the difference is that GoDaddy does not offer unlimited disk space. Instead, they only offer 100GB. .

Not only is their basic package more expensive than JustHost's basic package, it also doesn't offer as many features. Even their "Deluxe Package" which is boasted as the "best value" doesn't compare in value and service to JustHost. Plus their money back guarantee is complicated even if you cancel before 30 days, but if you cancel after 30 days you will not receive a whole lot of your money back. They also boast to have the fastest page upload speed, but JustHost is just as fast at less money..

GoDaddy's long established reputation is well deserved. Out of all the web hosts in the world, they come in second because, considering the cost of their service and the amount of features in their package, they are not a bad web host..

Out of the thousands of web hosts out there, HostGator came in third in this comprehensive review. Even their smallest package boasts unlimited disk space and bandwidth with user-friendly service. They have several different plans to fit different needs such as: Baby, Hatchling and Business. Unlimited bandwidth and unlimited email accounts is included in all of their packages. Also, their web site building tool is friendly and easy to use. Your website is included in all major search engines and their SEO and analytical tools help to keep track of the success of your website.

The Baby and Hatchling programs offer versatility to the average blogger, small community/artistic project or organization. Both packages come with unlimited disk space and bandwidth. The difference is that for $3.95 a month, the Baby plan only offers one domain name, where for $6.36 a month you can receive unlimited domains with their Hatchling program. Their Business plan starts at $10.36 per month and offers the same unlimited features of the Hatchling package, except that you also receive a private SSL and IP and a toll free number. Their VPS and reseller packages are also top ranked in the industry, though still not as valuable as the VPS and reseller packages at JustHost.

The major disadvantage to HostGator is that adding more than one domain or opting for advance features costs extra and can damage the value of their web service, which means the more you upgrade, the less you are actually receiving for your money.

HostGator is also well established. They have great features at a decent value. HostGator does offer a 45-day money back guarantee, so trying them out is not a terrible idea, but they are not as good as our top 2 rated web hosts.
